Thank you for interest in the ORU Songwriting team. This team is comprised of a small collaborative of songwriters whose primary focus is writing songs for the ORU community and grow in their own skill and art. Those selected for this team are expected to submit at minimum one song per month at the Songwriters Workshop hosted regularly by ORU Worship Center. Applicants are expected to submit 3 original songs that showcases their writing abilities. Although songs applicants submit do not have to be worship songs, applicants must know that the primary environment the songs written for the Songwriting Team is chapel and other worship settings. So content must be applicable to said environments. Additionally, we ask that at least one of the three songs submitted is something that hasn't had any co-writers on it. This helps us assess your individual ability as a songwriter. Any songs submitted on this application, should they be considered for use, will not be used without your permission. Using the fields below, please submit three individual links to your songs and three individual word documents displaying the lyrics to the songs. Please also include the name of the any co-writers if applicable. We understand sharing original songs can be quite vulnerable, so please know that we are incredibly honored that you are sharing your art with us. We are excited about this team! There will be significant opportunities to co-write and receive training from some incredible songwriters as well as have access to environments that allow for beautiful content to emerge. Most importantly though, it is an incredible opportunity for us to capture the heart songs of ORU, and to see what the Lord is doing here at ORU.
